Sammendrag
Last ned gratis The aim of this study was to examine the new policy for rural water supply in Tanzania, where a drafting process started in 2002. The new policy is highlighting the local level, and its main tenet is a community-based and participatory approach to development. The study had a fieldwork oriented explorative design. The study suggests that three factors influence the water supply status at the village level: the community self-mobilisation capacity, local politics and district government responsiveness.
