The overall theme of this master's thesis is STL+ (learning to write with audio support). The study focuses on gaining insight and understanding in four teachers' experiences and perceptions of STL+ as a method in the initial writing instruction. The thesis addresses the following research question: How do teachers perceive STL+ as a method in the initial writing instruction? This master's thesis is a qualitative investigation that incorporates various theoretical approaches to illuminate and analyze the research question. To gain insight in teachers' experiences and perceptions of STL+ in writing instruction, semi-structured interviews were conducted with teachers working in third grade who have recently utilized the method. The transcribed material constitutes the data for the study and is presented in a thematic analysis, highlighting the teachers' key perspectives on the use of STL+ in writing instruction for first and second graders. The findings of the study indicate that the participants perceive STL+ as a teaching method in the initial writing instruction to contribute to increased motivation, independence, and opportunities for tailored instruction. This master's thesis is affiliated with elementary school teacher education and focuses on the subject of digitally supported pedagogy.
