dc.description.abstract | Abstract Employee-driven innovation (EDI) (Høyrup, 2010, 2012) can be related to informal learning and collective organizational learning based on broad participation in development work at work (Herbst, 1993a, b; Eikeland, 2012a). In the current project, however, employees who participate in EDI can also achieve credit points in the formal school system (Eikeland, 2012b). This implies organized learning processes in the workplace, where what we know about good learning environment (Fuller & Unwin, 2004) and teaching methods will be success factors. The project is an action research project where we, the researchers, together with employees in four workplaces, also have developed a Handbook in Employee-Driven Innovation.2 In this article, we will present and discuss how research may support processual innovation knowledge, and how practical experiential learning can be intertwined with more theoretical classroom learning. And what does it mean to support social change processes with research? Keywords Symbiotic learning system, formal-, non-formal- and informal learning, job crafting, employee-driven innovation. | en |
