Denne artikkelen skal undersøke hvordan forståelser av etnisitet og ansettbarhet kommer til uttrykk i et talentprogram for minoritetskvinner. Artikkelen behandler talentprogrammet som en prosess derdeltagerne skal lære å presentere seg som attraktive arbeidstakere i det norske arbeidsmarkedet. Gjennom kvalitative intervjuer viser artikkelen at talentprogrammet fyller to funksjoner fordenne gruppen kvinner. Fordet første representerer programmet en mulighet til å utvikle kvinnenes selvopplevde attraktivitet på arbeidsmarkedet. Underveis i programmet lærer de å omdefinere sitt syn på egen kompetanse og muligheter i arbeidsmarkedet gjennom å promotere sin etnisitet som en ressurs og styrke. For det andre fremstår talentprogrammet som en arena der deltagere kan oppleve inkludering og støtte. Opplevelsen av å bli sett som kompetente av programledelsen og andre deltagere, bidrar til å styrke den enkelte deltagers aspirasjoner og motivasjon underveis i programmet. Artikkelen viser samtidig at talentprogrammet gir deltagerne verktøy som bygger på individualiserte forståelser av suksess og ansettbarhet. En risiko med den individualiserte forståelsen er at arbeidsledighet depolitiseres, og at individet blir (ene)ansvarlig for sin skjebne i arbeidsmarkedet. En vei videre bør være å inkludere kunnskap om det lokale arbeidsmarkedet og involvere arbeidsgiverne i større grad i arbeidet med å åpne opp dørene for ledertalentene.
