| dc.description.abstract | Denne masteroppgaven undersøker hvordan boken De som ikke finnes (2014) skrevet av Simon Stranger, kan åpne opp for refleksjon rundt egen identitet i møte mellom tekst og leser, ved bruk av den litterære samtalen i klasserommet. Målet med studien er å få innsikt i hvordan identiteten til hovedpersonene blir fremstilt i boken. Masteroppgavens problemstilling er som følger: Hvordan kan en analyse og tolkning av boken De som ikke finnes åpne opp for refleksjon rundt egen identitet gjennom litterær samtale for elever på ungdomstrinnet? Bakgrunn for oppgaven er at skjønnlitteratur ikke lenger har en selvsagt plass i norskfaget, og det er en økende tendens til å vise frem utdrag fra verk fremfor hele verket. Jeg ønsker å rette søkelyset mot mulighetene som ligger i lesing av hele romaner, og skjønnlitteraturens potensiale i klasserommet. Temaet identitet er valgt fordi det er aktuelt for elever på ungdomstrinnet, og norskfaget kan være en viktig arena for identitetsutvikling. For å besvare problemstillingen har jeg gjennomført en skjønnlitterær analyse og nærlesing av boken. I lys av prosjektets problemstilling har jeg undersøkt ulike virkemidler i romanen med vekt på hovedpersonene. De litterære virkemidlene blir brukt som verktøy i analysen, for å belyse hvordan identitet blir fremstilt gjennom karakterene i boken. Alt som er lagt frem i analysen blir begrunnet med utvalgte sitater fra boken. Studiens hovedfunn er at boken viser hvordan valg mennesker tar i livet kan påvirke deres identitet, og kan dermed åpne opp for refleksjon og samtale rundt elevenes egen identitet, og bevisstgjøre dem på egne valg i livet. Boken kan gi leseren kunnskap om det som er forskjellig gjennom å se verden fra andres perspektiver. Slik vil boken kunne gi rom for empatisk innlevelse, og bidra til å hjelpe elevene til å forstå seg selv og andre. Boken åpner opp for at elevene kan samtale om hvilke konsekvenser valg i livet får for karakterenes indre flamme. Dette er noe som er fellesmenneskelig likt, og som er verdifullt å reflektere over i arbeid med å finne seg selv.
This master's thesis examines how the book De som ikke finnes (2014) by Simon Stranger can open up for reflection on one’s own identity through the interaction between text and reader, using literary conversation in the classroom. The aim of the study is to gain insight into how the identities of the main characters are portrayed in the book. My research question is: How can an analysis and interpretation of the book De som ikke finnes open up for reflection on one's own identity through literary conversation for students in 10th grade? The background for this thesis is that literature no longer has an obvious place in the Norwegian subject, and there is a growing tendency to showcase excerpts rather than whole works. I wish to draw attention to the potential of reading entire novels and the potential of working with fiction in the classroom. Identity is chosen as the theme because it is relevant to 10th grade students, and the Norwegian subject can be an important arena for developing one's identity. To answer the research question, I conducted a literary analysis and close reading of the book. Considering the research question, various literary techniques in the novel have been examined, with a focus on the main characters. The literary techniques are used as tools in the analysis to illustrate how identity is portrayed through the characters in the book. All arguments presented in the analysis are supported by selected quotations from the book. The main finding of the study is that the book shows how the choices people make in life can influence their identity, thus facilitating reflection and conversation around the students' own identity and making them aware of their own choices in life. The book can provide readers with knowledge about what is different by allowing them to see the world from different perspectives. In this way, the book can create space for empathetic understanding and help students understand themselves and others. The book allows for students to discuss how the consequences of life choices affect the characters' inner flame, which is something that is universally human and valuable to reflect upon when trying to find oneself. | en_US |
