| dc.description.abstract | I vår entreprenørielle masteroppgave har vi utviklet et brettspill for minoritetsspråklige elever, til bruk i begynneropplæringen. Elevene får trening i å bruke språket, og blir eksponert for norske begreper fordelt på de fire overordnede kategoriene: skolesaker, klesplagg, frukt og grønt, og dyr. Problemstillingen er som følger: Hvordan kan man utvikle et spill som eksponerer minoritetsspråklige elever for norske begreper i begynneropplæringen? Oppgaven tar utgangspunkt i Opplæringsloven, § 2-8, som legger fram at elever som ikke har tilstrekkelige norskkunnskaper til å følge ordinær undervisning, har rett til særskilt norskopplæring. Vårt spill laget for å gjøre nettopp dette, bidra til norskopplæring ved hjelp av en lekpreget tilnærming. Ifølge forskning er lek nødvendig for elevene i skolen, og lek og læring bør ses i sammenheng. Vi har tilpasset spillet slik ar en lærer kan ta det i bruk kun ved hjelp av lærerveiledningen. Spillet inneholder blant annet spilleregler for elever, en video hvor vi modellerer spillet og hjelpekort, som er med på å støtte elevene underveis. Vi ønsket å finne ut om elevene forstod bildene i sammenheng med ordene uten støtte fra en voksen, og om de klarte å spille spillet på egenhånd kun ved hjelp av lærerens innføring og modelleringsvideoen. Gjennom observasjon og videoobservasjon i syklus 1, avdekket vi at elevene var engasjerte og ivrige da de spilte spillet. Informantene vi har hatt har i utgangspunktet bodd i Norge i underkant av ett år og går 1.-4. trinn. Vi vil i den skriftlige delen av vår masteroppgave presentere utviklingsarbeidet i syklus 1, og i den muntlige delen presentere utviklingsarbeidet i syklus 2 og 3.
In our master thesis, we have developed a board game with a focus on minority language pupils, for use in initial schooling. The pupils get to practice the Norwegian language, and are exposed to Norwegian terms. The game has been divided into four main categories: school items, clothing, fruit and vegetables, and animals. Our research question is as follows: How can you develop a game that exposes minority language pupils to Norwegian conceptual development in the initial schooling? This thesis is based on Education Act, §2-8, which states that pupils who do not have sufficient knowledge of Norwegian language to follow ordinary education, have the right to specialized Norwegian language education. Our game, with a playful approach, is designed to do just this. According to research, play is necessary for pupils in the beginning years of school, and play and learning should be seen in conjunction with each other. We adapted the game so it can be used by a teacher only with the help of the teacher’s guide. The game contains, among other things, rules of the game made for students; an introduction video where we show how to play the game, and «help cards», which help to support the students along the way. We wanted to explore if the pupils understood the pictures in the context of the words and if they were able to play the game on their own, only with the help of the teacher’s introduction and the introduction video. Through observation and video observation, we discovered that the pupils were engaged and eager when they played the game. The informants we observed have lived in Norway for just under a year and represent the 1st-4th grade. In the written part of our master’s thesis, we will present the development work in cycle 1, and in the oral part we will present the development work in cycles 2 and 3. | en_US |
