Trygg eller utsatt? Husholdenes økonomiske situasjon etter 16 måneder med koronakrise

Abstract

Hovedinntrykket er at norske hushold har klart seg forholdsvis bra gjennom koronaperioden, kanskje bedre enn mange forventet da krisen slo inn over landet i mars 2020. Samtidig viser analysene at koronakrisen har slått ulikt inn i ulike lag av befolkningen. Mens mange har hatt ressurser til å klare seg gjennom krisen, har et mindretall opplevd en forverring som på sikt kan være vanskelig å komme ut av. Hovedkonklusjonen er at koronaen har forsterket den økonomiske ulikheten i Norge.

The main impression is that Norwegian households have done relatively well during the corona period, perhaps better than many expected when the crisis hit the country in March 2020. At the same time, the analyzes show that the corona crisis has affected different sections of the population differently. While many have had the resources to cope with the crisis, a minority have experienced a deterioration that in the long run can be difficult to get out of. The main conclusion is that the corona has intensified economic inequality in Norway.
