MEDSKAPNING I PRAKSIS

Abstract

In this thesis, entitled Co-creation in practice, I have through artistic research examined: How can performing artists facilitate co-creation in a creative and professional process of theatre production process with young people towards a result for the theatre stage? I have been through three attempts to complete the survey. The thesis deals with the various obstacles, solutions and opportunities that have emerged during the research period. Inspiration for the survey came from the Stortingsmeldingen Meld. St. 18 (2020/2021) Experience, create, share - Art and Culture for, with and by children and young people, where there is a great focus on participation and co-creation with children and young people, but not on co-creative processes for the theatre stage with young people. I wanted to investigate how a performing artist can facilitate a co-creative process for the theatre stage with young people. Through artistic research (Østern, 2017), as a performing artist and researcher, I have co-created a performance together with the young people in the third attempt. I have brought with me a phenomenological view of science and used an abductive approach to the research. The creative work with the young people has used devising (Swale, 2014) as a working method. I have linked this to Hans-Thies Lehmann's (2006) term Postdramatic Theater and Eugenio Barba's (2010) thought on Dramaturgy.

I denne oppgaven med tittelen Medskapning i praksis har jeg gjennom kunstnerisk forskning undersøkt: Hvordan kan scenekunstnere legge til rette for medskapning i en kreativ teaterfaglig prosess med ungdom mot et scenisk resultat? Jeg har vært igjennom tre forsøk for å få gjennomført undersøkelsen. Oppgaven tar for seg de ulike hindrene, løsningene og mulighetene som har dukket opp i løpet av undersøkelsesperioden. Inspirasjon for undersøkelsen kom fra Stortingsmeldingen Meld. St. 18 (2020/2021) Oppleve, skape, dele- Kunst og Kultur for, med og av barn og unge, hvor det er et stort fokus på barn og unges medvirkning og medskapning, uten å ha særlig fokus på sceniske utøvende medskapende prosesser med ungdom. Jeg ønsket å undersøke hvordan en som scenekunstner kan legge til rette for en medskapende scenisk prosess med ungdom. Gjennom å forske med kunsten (Østern, 2017) har jeg som scenekunstner og forsker medskapt en forestilling sammen med ungdommene i det tredje forsøket. Jeg har hatt med meg et fenomenologisk vitenskapssyn og benyttet meg av en abduktiv tilnærming til forskningen. Det skapende arbeidet med ungdommene har benyttet seg av devising (Swale, 2014) som arbeidsmetode. Jeg har knyttet dette opp til Hans- Thies Lehmann (2006) sitt begrep Postdramatic Theatre og Eugenio Barba (2010) sin tanke om Dramaturgi.
