Omringa av Fiendar: Å skape ein dramatisk tekst basert på erfaringar med terrorisme

Abstract

Denne masteravhandlinga fokuserer på å skape eit fiksjonelt teatermanus basert på liv i ettertid av personlege erfaringar med terrorisme. Gjennom det performative paradigmet og bruk av kunstnarisk forsking som grunnlaget for studien har innhentinga av data gått føre seg gjennom kjende (intervju) og ukjende (skriveoppgåver) metodar. Ved å bruke skriveoppgåver for å innhente relevant data frå tre informantar, har denne avhandlinga tileigna seg tekstmateriale rundt katastrofetankar, samt liv i eit samfunn som tilsynelatande har vendt ryggen til terrorisme, høvesvis terrorangrepet på norsk jord den 22. juli, 2011. Målet med denne studien er å vektleggje teori rundt sider av PTSD, samt skriving som ein helsefremmande framgangsmåte. Ved bruk av etnodrama som verktøy for skaping, vurderer studien balansen mellom fiksjon og røyndom, med fokus på prosessen rundt å skape ein dialog frå informantane sine tekstar og forskarens eigne erfaringar. Studien har resultert i eit teatermanus med mål om å 1) representere ei livsverd for eit utanforståande sitt perspektiv, og 2) skape ei katartisk oppleving for dei som kjenner seg att.

This Masters thesis focuses on the creation of a fictional playscript based on life in the years following personal experiences with terrorism. With a performative paradigm and the use of artistic research as the foundation of the research, the data is collected through familiar (interviews) and unfamiliar (writing assignments) methods. By using writing assignments as the main method of collecting relevant data from three informants, this paper has acquired texts as research relating to intrusive thoughts and living in a society that appears to turn the other cheek to terrorism, in this instance, the terror attacks on Norwegian soil, the 22nd of July, 2011. This paper seeks to highlight theory around aspects of PTSD and expressive writing. Through the means of an ethnodrama's form, the paper deliberates the balance between fiction and reality, focusing on the process of creating dialogue from the informants' texts and the researcher's experiences. The study has resulted in a playscript aiming to 1) represent a lifeworld to an outsider's perspective, and 2) create a cathartic experience for someone who can relate to the thoughts expressed.
