«Ja, hvad gør vel stort et værk?» : Verkskonseptet i teater

Abstract

For å prøve å finne ut hva verkskonseptets plass er innen teater bruker denne oppgaven eksisterende konseptuelle modeller, en gjennomgang av ulike teaterdatabaser og intervju med Ibsen-forskere. Intervjuene tar utgangspunkt i fire konkrete eksempler på forestillinger fra databasen IbsenStage. Disse brukes til å diskutere ulike utfordringer når det kommer til verkskonseptet i teaterforestillinger. Det er hovedsakelig tre ulike former for verksforståelse som gjør seg gjeldene: at verket i teaterforestillinger er regissørens verk, at det er manusforfatteren/bearbeiderens verk, og at det originalskaperens verk. Når man ser på de eksisterende konseptuelle modellene som tar for seg teaterforestillinger er det LRMoo som i størst grad representerer disse ulike verksforståelsene.

To find out what place the concept of work has in theatre, this thesis uses existing conceptual models, a review of various theatre databases, and interviews with Ibsen researchers. The interviews are based on four examples of performances from the database IbsenStage. These are used to discuss challenges relating to the concept of work in theatre performances. The different understandings of the concept of work in theatre are: that the work in a theatre performance is the work of the director, that it is the work of the writer of the script/adapter, and that it is the work of the original creator. When you look at the existing conceptual models that deal with theatre performances, it is LRMoo that to the greatest extent represents these understandings of the concept of work in theatre.
