The effect of supervision using videoconference compared to supervision onsite in EIBI; measured by the outcome of the children.
Abstract
This study compared the effect of digital training of staff members with the effect of on-site training of staff members, measured by 15 preschool children’s outcome. All the children were diagnosed with ASD. The children were randomly placed in either the digital group or in the on-site group, and both groups received training in Early Intensive Behavior Intervention (EIBI). The dependent variable was the outcome of the children after one year with EIBI. The independent variables were 1) digital training and 2) on-site training. The results showed no significant differences between the groups in any of the measures. The measures used in this study were The Childhood Autism Rating Scale-Second Edition (CARS2), The Socially Mediated and Automatic Reinforcer Questionnaire (SMARQ) and Aberrant Behavior Checklist (ABC).
