The purpose of implementation research is to reduce the gap between research and practice by developing and evaluating measures that can ensure that the treatment received by the patient is knowledge-based and of good quality. Article 1 explains what implementation and implementation research is. The historical perspective will be highlighted as well as the diversity of the academic approaches and concepts used to apply research in practice. Article 2 explains and presents the tools for measuring the degree of implementation and results of the implementation study carried out at nine child welfare institutions in the west and east region. The purpose of this study has been to measure the degree of implementation at institutions offering Contingency Management (Læringsbasert Rusbehandling in Norwegian). The goal has been to develop a cost-effective and simple tool so that the departments themselves can measure the degree of implementation afterwards.language
