Exploring The Health Status Of Health Workers In Norway
Abstract
Abstract
This research examines healthcare professionals' health conditions, emphasising the difficulties they encounter in their work settings. The study utilises qualitative research methods with the following interviewees. It aims to investigate the many elements that influence the health and well-being of healthcare workers. The results uncover notable obstacles, such as excessive workload and time constraints, emotional requirements and tension, physical exertion and job-related risks, and communication and interpersonal disputes. These difficulties are analysed using the framework of social determinants of health and the theory of professionalism with nursing focusing on their significant consequences for healthcare practice. Recommendations are put up to tackle these difficulties, including tactics for managing workload, programmes for emotional support, improved workplace safety measures, efforts to better communication, and ways to achieve a balance between work and personal life and professional growth. To enhance patient care results in Norway's healthcare system, healthcare organisations can effectively tackle these difficulties and provide more significant support for the health and well-being of their staff.
Moreover, the thesis offers a perceptive introduction to the research issue, providing a thorough summary of the study's history, importance, and goals. This paper examines the contextual elements that impact the status of health workers in Norway. It emphasises the nation's healthcare system and the significance of studying the well-being of health workers. This presents the justification for the study, highlighting the lack of information on the health status of health workers and the need to conduct an empirical investigation to fill this gap. Furthermore, it delineates the precise goals and research inquiries that direct the investigation, establishing the foundation for the ensuing chapters' thorough examination of healthworkerexperiencesanddifficulties in Norway.
