The authors regret to inform that we recently discovered an error in this article. One of the exosomal miRNAs that was detected in all patient samples, miR-29a-3p, was in the article erroneously labeled and described as being significantly differently expressed between two patient groups (TRG 1 versus TRG 2-3) within the investigation and validation cohorts. Fortunately, miR-29a-3p had not been selected for down-stream analyses, averting consequential errors within the study. Below follows a list of edits pertaining to the correct labeling of miR-29a-3p as not being differently expressed between the patient groups TRG 1 and TRG 2-3 in the investigation and validation cohorts. The edits are in bold and underlined. We sincerely regret if our inadvertent mistake has caused confusions. The conclusions drawn from the experiments are not affected.en
